No, you don't need a special DL in CA in order to transport or operate any of our motorhomes or travel trailers.


 The insurance carrier that we currently use does accept driver licenses from other States and Countries. 


However the customer and anyone else driving or transporting the rented recreational vehicle must be at least 25 years old, hold valid vehicle insurance, and had been approved by RV CAmping Rental.

Sleeping capacity varies depending on the level of comfort and privacy desired as well as the adult, teens and children combination.


The Queen beds are to be considered the RV Queen size which is a few inches shorter than a regular household Queen bed.

 

All those beds called "Twin" or "Single" are narrower and often shorter than the ones we are used to at home.


A "Full size" or "Double size" bed within the RV industry are equally narrower and often shorter as well than the ones we have at home. 


NOTE: Drop down beds, bunks, and overhand bunks have a weight limit. Please ask what is the limit for your specific needs to avoid having to pay for expensive repairs.

No, we are sorry but at the current time there is no United States Commercial Rental insurance for rented Recreational Vehicles  that provides coverage for you the renter, our asset or our liability while the recreational vehicle is outside the United States and Canada territory.

You will receive your reservation receipt at the time of booking. Please let us know if the system did not generate the reservation receipt so that we can send it to you via email. 


We will also send you via DocuSign all rental documents in order for you to read, initial and sign all those fields in which you are not required to be in person.


This will be done approx. within 48.0 hrs of you submitting all the documents required to 48.0 hrs prior the reservation start date.


The second DocuSign link, will be sent AFTER you complete the in person visual inspection, confirm readinfggs, condition, and equipment provided for you to submit final iniital and signatures. 


* Please let us know if you would like us to email you blank documents for easy reading prior receiving them on DocuSign. 


We highly encourage you to PRINT the "Operational Guide: and any related insurance coverage documents and bring along your trip.

No, early returns and/or ending the reservation short are not eligible for a refund.


The only reservations that under the following circumstances will receive a partial refund are*:


  • Unexpected military deployment
  • Extreme illness and/or fatalities of an immediate family member
  • State or Nationwide mandate "Stay Home Orders" that affects the area where you are going camping
  • If our unit experience major loss of functionality due to reasons not caused by customer or those around the renter.


*We are not liable to cover the cost or reimburse any expenses for additional 

transportation needs, lodging, accomodations, loss of income, pain and suffering, inconvenience, or any other associated expense or liability associated to the reservation or location where customer will be vacationing.

Does the kitchen inventory includes species or other consumables?

 No, for health reasons and liability, we do not provide consumables such as coffee, spices, drinking water, etc. Please remember to bring your own.


Keep in mind that the water stored in the fresh water tank, plumbing system, water pump, water hoses and the water coming from the campsite faucet is to be considered clean and safe to take showers, wash dishes, and flush toilets, but not to be consumed at any time.

InsURANCE RELATED QUESTIONS

No, customers can not opt out from the Commercial Rental Insurance provided by the reservation agency or third-party rental agency. 


This is the one area in which we don't take shortcuts, try to save money or are willing to take risks. Our liability and asset protection as well as yours is our top priority. 


Please search on line for "Frivolous Lawsuits" so you understand why are we firm on this policy. 


The coverage provided by the reservation rental agency and/or third-party rental agency is considered "Secondary" coverage, this means that in the event of a claim, the customer's insurance carrier will be used first and then the insurance provided by the retnal agency or third-party rental agency will be second in place. If customer's vehicle insruance does not provide coverage for rented recreational vehicles, then the insurance provided by the rental agency or third-party rental agency will be first in place.

Current Insurance Carrier policy that a customer will be purchasing through our website, is an "Excess Policy" aka "Secondary Policy". 


This means that in the event of an accident, the reservation insurance carrier will first procure the customer's personal vehicle insurance policy, and then they will pick up the tab for any deficiencies. 


If the customer's personal vehicle insurance carrier does not provide coverage for rented recreational vehicles, then the insurance policy purchased through our website will be first in place. 


***We are not insurance brokers, please consult with a licensed insurance broker for any questions or concerns.

Yes, if you are booking a Corporate or Event Rental, we can accept your Commercial Liability extended coverage supplement as well as a signed promissory document in which you are accepting liability to be billed separately for repairs, missing inventory, damages, additional charges or loss of use, as well as extended Liability and Asset protection for our company and staff. 

How much is the insurance deductible?

The amount of insurance deductible depends on the level of coverage purchased by the customer and as per the insurance company that we are using at the time of booking.

Yes, the customer is solely responsible to pay for each claim deductible per occurrance.


Remember that as customary, every accident is considered a separate occurrence by most insurance companies.

Yes, the customer is liable to repair or replace for any and all glass damage that happens during the time they have possession of the RV and/or until the time is returned to us.


However, higher level  of coverage provides windshield protection and/or the customers personal insurance policy. 


Please check existing coverage in place to ensure this is included for your reservation.

MISCELLANEOUS QUESTIONS

Can I bring a dog?

Yes, you are welcome to bring one or two dogs. 


The only requirements that you need to meet are:


  1. It can never be allowed on top of upholstered surfaces, cushions, sleeping pads or mattresses.
  2. It must be contained during the night time to avoid possible "accidents" or damages to the cabinetry or doors.
  3. Can never be left unattended inside the rented recreational vehicle, must specially during the hot summer months regardless if the AC units is left running.

Please exercise caution and safety when having a dog (s) inside the unit, do not relay on the AC running since this can fail due to overload, electricity at the campsite fail, generator run out of gas or any other event that can cause for your dog to suffocate and die due to extreme heat or fumes.

You can never tow if you rented a travel trailer, fifth wheel or toy hauler.


Depending on the rental platform that you rented our unit from, towing is not allowed either by them or their insurance provider.


If you rented from us, towing is currently allowed. Please check with us to ensure active coverage at the time still provides or allows coverage for towing.


It is our understanding that the coverage will only be provided to our rented RV, but not to whatever is being towed by you the customer.


NOTE: We are not liable nor the insurance company for damages, total loss to what you are towing or damages caused to others around you, that being personal injury or property damages to others.

Can I rent an RV for a One Way Rental?

Only those approved by us and the insurance company can transport (drive or tow) the unit.


The following criteria must be met in order to be included and/or authorized:


  1. All driver must submit their valid and current driver license
  2. All drivers must provide their personal insurance ID card
  3. All drivers must be 25 years old and above
  4. Clean driving record
  5. Insurable under normal policies (not restricted licenses)
  6. They must be listed in the Rental Agreement documents

Yes, you are welcome to rent our rig for a One-Way rental.


However, we need to be reimbursed to go get the RV back to our location at the rate of $2.50 per mile.

Absolutely, we will not only provide an "Operational Guide" that will show you how to operate and troubleshoot most the systems needed but we will also provide extensive training at the time you pick up the RV from us or when we deliver it to you.

Please let us know in writing if you need to cancel your reservation so we can process your cancellation and expedite any eligible refund available for your reservation or circumstances.

Yes, please let us know what new dates you want to reschedule your reservation. New dates must have availability for the rented recreational vehicle or we can find a suitable and matching rig for the new dates. 


Nightly/daily rates for new dates must be equal or less than original reservation.


There is a $100.00 rescheduling fee.

Bike racks are not usually installed on the units unless the customer requests one.


We provide this at no additional cost.

NOTE: We are not responsible for any damages or loss to your bikes. Motorcycles or heavy toy are not allowed. Please check what is the weight capacity.

Where can I pick up the RV?

At the current time, we offer a few choices:


  • KOA facilities located at 111 N. 2nd Avenue, Chula Vista CA 91910
  • Via de La Valle in Del Mar near freeway 5
  • Crown Point Park located in Pacific Beach.

Yes, we provide delivery, set up and pick up services for your convenience.

We don't charge mileage on travel trailer or any other type towable. 


We offer 100.0 free miles per night for all rented motorhomes.


Excess miles are charged:


1. Gas engines $0.39 each

2. Diesel engines $0.49 each


Reservations that drive over 1,000.0 miles will receive an increase of $0.10 per mile.

No worries, we have a large enough fleet that if in the event the rented recreational vehicle becomes out of order, we will provide you with another one alike or better at no additional charge.


You can have peace of mind that we will first let you know so you will remain in control and choose what is best for you.

Depending on the level of insurance that you purchased a t the time of booking, roadside assistance may be included. Please check your reservation details.


Keep in mind that emergency roadside services providers uses a network of vendors nationwide that depending where you are stranded at will not be available in a timely or reasonable manner.


The services they provide are usually towing to the nearest facility and up to certain amount of miles, lockouts, tire replacement with a spare tire, gas, etc.

Make sure you and your loved ones are safe, and out of harms way.


Your reservation comes with insurance, and depending on the coverage selected, damages will be covered.


Please take lots of pictures as soon as safe and available from all 4 angles of the RV as well as the area that got damaged. 


Write down the date, time, exact location address and/or intersection where the accident occurred as well as the traffic and weather conditions.


If there is another driver involved, take a picture of their DL, insurance ID card and pictures of their vehicle or property.

Call roadside assistance.


We suggest to leave the keys at a location that you can access in the event you get yourself locked out.


At the current time we don't have a hidden keys set.

The likelihood of this happening is slim to none because we use the highest quality tires with a high ply count rated for a ton of weight above required. Tires are kept above 40% life or new if it involves a long trip.


If you have a flat tire or blow out, please call Roadside assistance and notify us as soon as possible.


Keep in mind motorhomes don't have spare tires. 


Travel trailers do have a spare tire (most of them) and are located on the back , by the hitch or under. Tools are included to replace as needed if you have sufficient experience and mechanical inclined. Please make sure you are a safe location and out of harms way.

***NOTE:TRAVEL TRAILER DO NOT HAVE AN ON BOARD GENERATOR, CUSTOMER NEEDS TO HAVE A PLUG IN SITE OR RENT THEIR OWN GENERATOR WITH A THIRD PARTY -WE DO NOT HAVE GENERATOR FOR RENT TO OFFER-

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO RENT A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE

For your safety and liability as well as ours and all around, the following documents must be provided to us after booking:


a) Customers for we will be delivering and the rig will not be moved at all:


- Current valid identification card, must be issued by the government of where they reside.


- A current utility bill in which name matches the customer’s name


b) Customers that will be driving a motorhome or towing a travel trailer:


- A valid and current driver license for each driver


- Current utility bill matching the customer name


- Each of the drivers personal vehicles insurance ID card


- For those towing, tires must have the proper tire load index to withstand the weight of the vehicles plus our loaded trailer, brakes life above 50%, truck must have a wired break controller


For those driving, drivers must have a clean driving record. For more information please  please contact the insurance carrier.


As per the insurance requirements to issue coverage, all customers must be older than 25 years old.
